Assistant Manager – SEO

City: Mumbai

Annual Retention Bonus: All our salaries include a fixed and variable component. After you complete a year with us, the variable component kicks in.   

Role & Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies: Create and implement innovative SEO strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives. Stay updated with industry trends and search engine algorithm updates to ensure the website remains optimized for search engines.  
  • Keyword research and analysis: Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-value keywords and search terms relevant to our industry. Analyze keyword performance and make data-driven recommendations to improve search rankings and increase organic traffic.  
  • On-page and off-page optimization: Optimize website content, meta tags, URLs, and other on-page elements to improve search engine visibility. Develop and execute effective off-page strategies, including link building and outreach, to enhance the website’s authority and credibility.  
  • Technical SEO: Collaborate with web developers to identify and address technical SEO issues, such as crawlability, indexing, site speed, mobile optimization, and structured data markup. Implement best practices to ensure search engines can efficiently crawl and index our website.  
  • Content optimization: Work closely with the content team to optimize existing content and develop SEO-friendly content strategies. Provide guidance on keyword usage, content structure, and formatting to maximize organic search visibility and user engagement.  
  • Performance monitoring and reporting: Monitor and analyze key SEO metrics, including organic traffic, rankings, conversions, and user behavior. Generate regular reports to evaluate the effectiveness of SEO strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.  
  • Stay updated with industry trends: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, search engine updates, and best practices in SEO. Continuously expand your knowledge and share insights with the team to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.  
  • Team leadership and collaboration: Lead and mentor a team of SEO specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to optimize their performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, content, and web development, to align SEO strategies with overall business objectives.  

  

Qualifications & Skills 

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, computer science, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).  
  • 3+ years of proven experience as an SEO specialist or similar role, with a track record of successful SEO strategies and results.  
  • Deep understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and best practices in SEO.  
  • Proficiency in keyword research and analysis tools.  
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and draw actionable insights.  
  • Experience with SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, or similar platforms.  
  • Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website development frameworks.  
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.  
  • Up to date with the latest industry trends and changes in search engine algorithms.
